Coca Cola turns buying a soda into an interactive experience

Coca Cola has developed an interactive vending machine that allows consumers to learn about promotions in the location the machine is placed, select a beverage to purchase, view the bottle digitally from all angles, and view advertisements all at the same time.

The interface is similar to that of an iPhone. Eventually consumers will be able download music, ringtones, etc.
This is a really neat design and would be great to do with other types of vending machines. However, it may be a bit of an overload for someone who simply wants to purchase a 20 oz Cherry Coke.
I am interested to see how popular they become during their trial run. I am also curious as to how much more sodas will cost when purchased from one of these machines. I will let you know next time I make it out to the St. Louis Mills.
